It's Fall

So today Bekka and I went for a drive. We wanted to see some signs of fall, which may sound like a strange thing to do in 80+ degree weather. The leaves have started to change though and in some places it was really nice. Nothing like what Bekka is used to in New England or what I got used to in Appalachian Virginia, but it was still pretty. It was especially enjoyable to get out of the house and just do some exploring.

Armed with directions from daytripcincinnati.com, we went east, staying on the Ohio side of the river. We took a small picnic with us and enjoyed that along the shore of Pike Lake (which looked a lot more like a pond than a lake). We also stopped off in the village of Bainbridge. There was a cool tourist shop there and we bought a small Christmas tree ornament. Bainbridge has some nice old-style homes, which we both enjoyed driving by.

It was a great way to spend a beautiful fall day!

Sounds like a wonderful day! The village of Bainbridge sounds fun...we live on Bainbridge Dr. now, and I've wondered a time or two where Bainbridge comes from...maybe Bainbridge, OH???

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe we'll go on a scenic drive this Sunday to enjoy the fall colors. BTW, didn't you buy your apples on this drive? Where is this Perkins Orchard? About how far away is it?
